"Having Robynne as a part of my journey was absolutely magical. Before I had gotten pregnant I didn’t even know what a Doula was – and now I could not have imagined going through my pregnancy and birth without one. Being without a “partner” in my pregnancy, I had some struggles with even just feeling alone, or scared; and Robynne was always there for me – whether it be just some comforting text messages, some tea and chatting, or a relaxing massage and acupressure – she was there for me. Any questions I had, she had advice and suggestions for me to always keep me at peace when I was feeling overwhelmed. And this is all before her super powers during my labor and birth were put to use! I say this over and over again, but I could not imagine what the evening I gave birth on would have been like without Robynne. When my contractions hit – they hit HARD and very quickly. All of the acupressure help during each contraction was exactly what I needed. Her words throughout labour were everything I needed to hear. Just merely her presence and support were incredibly warming and encouraging. I only recall opening my eyes one time while I was laboring while we were at the hospital and all I saw was Robynne’s face and a can of coconut water; she somehow knew what I needed all the time. Just seeing her comforting, familiar face through the intensity that is birth, was all I needed to give me the continued strength throughout. My birth plan included using no pain killers or medication and I often wonder if I would have been able to do that if I didn’t have Robynne there with me. I am so grateful for the relationship that I built with her along the way, and I know that she will be a part of my life forever, and friend. It feels like it was fate that our paths crossed and that she entered my journey with me. If I ever have the joy of having another baby, I will definitely be seeking out Robynne again to do it all with me once more. I encourage everyone to have a Doula on board their journey of childbirth."

"In January 2014, Robynne was a doula for my friend, Jody, during the birth of her son. I attended the birth, and personally can’t imagine it without Robynne there! Seeing as neither Jody nor I had experienced anything quite like this, it was really comforting to have someone around who knew what to expect and knew just what to do at every moment. Robynne arrived at Jody’s house as soon as she was feeling a little strange, and stuck with us until well after the birth. She helped Jody get through each contraction, made sure she had everything needed between contractions, and was the best emotional and physical support anyone could ask for. She even made sure that I was doing okay during the whole process. She helped me feel more relaxed, and therefore I was more able to focus on Jody. Her genuine care for everyone involved really showed. Robynne wasn’t only there for the birth, but had been great support to Jody for the months leading up to it, and checked in on Jody on a daily basis after the birth. I am so grateful for all of this, and will definitely be giving her a call when I start my own family!"

Her light hearted and compassionate approach to child birth was just what I needed in order to have a successful, natural, drug free hospital birth. I found that Robynne was an engaged, enthusiastic and focused doula. She was attentive and knowledgeable, a good teacher, and was really great at coaching dad. During the birth her sure eye contact and encouraging words helped keep me focused and at ease. She had creative and effective comfort measures which she used at all the right times. "Birth is by its very nature, a mystery. We experienced this as especially true regarding the arrival of our firstborn, where despite all possible preparation - whether by reading, instruction, or even in learning to heed intuition - our families birth journey was a beautifully daunting, joyous, and also often terrifying sojourn into the unknown.
Sharing and co-creating in this beauty, holding safe space, and gently guiding through our most difficult moments, Robynne remained steadfast and uplifting in her service; providing unfailing emotional and physical support. She brought laughter and eased labour pains, rendered great assistance in all practical care including bringing nourishing food and drink - not only for Mama but all family and supporters, and went phenomenal distance in being present almost the entire 48 hours of labour (then proceeding to stay and make breakfast after our son was born at 3:35am). Her support after the birth of our son has been just as exemplary. Words cannot do justice to the gratitude we feel for her presence and service during our birth, and we couldn't recommend her services as a Doula more highly. She is in the utmost a professional in her field; bearing compassion and providing competent care.
